Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors. Liam Neeson was born on 7 June, 1952 and it has Irish origin. He obtained American citizenship and before becoming an actor, he had jobs that were not at all related to that. Among his previous jobs were a lift operator and a truck driver, but it seems that Liam Neeson followed his dream of becoming an actor and he managed. Perhaps this proofs that if you wish something very much, in the end it will happen. The same thing happened with Liam Neeson, too. To manage that, Liam Neeson moved to Hollywood to have more chances to become an actor and he was lucky. One of his first roles were in Of Mice and Men, Excalibur, Nell, The Bounty, The Mission.

He also followed Queen’s University Belfast and played a lot of football, but never had the chance to be part from a great team although he was very talented. Other roles that he portrayed were in films such as Star Wars, Taken, After Life, Chloe. It seems that with each film, his success were getting higher and higher and his career  was more and more in the spotlight. I also like that he was not involved in scandals, but he oriented only toward his career and  family. His personal life remained private and he does not like to give too many details about that. Liam Neeson is a discrete person that built his career due to his fame and not through scandals  and as the main subject of the tabloids. In a world where image is very important and people do anything for that, it seems that Liam Neeson is the exception, but a nice one.

Each film in which Liam Neeson acts, will certainly be a success and people go to cinema only when they find out he is one of the main actors, which is a proof that his popularity has not disappeared. Even today he is pretty old, Liam Neeson did not give up to another artistic projects. His talent has been awarded many times.

Liam Neeson – A Great Actor

Liam Neeson is one of the greatest actors in Hollywood. He is best known for his roles from Schindler’s List, Star Wars, Love Actually and Clash of the Titans. Liam Neeson was born June 7, 1952, in Northern Ireland. At the age of eleven, Liam Neeson stepped on stage for the first time. His English teacher gave him the lead role in a school play, which he accepted because the girl he was attracted to was starring too. From then on, Liam Neeson kept on acting. Liam Neeson’s first acting break came in 1980, when the director John Boorman saw him on stage. He starred in five films in the 1980s, alongside Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins.

Director Steven Spielberg was very impressed with Liam Neeson’s role in Nell and consequently offered him the coveted role of Oskar Schindler in the Holocaust movie, Schindler’s List. Liam Neeson was critically acclaimed and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. In my opinion, this role was one of the best of his career. Schindler’s List established Liam Neeson as a widely sought-after leading actor. The role of Oskar Schindler was perfectly calibrated by Liam Neeson. He transforms the character from a careless man, to a man who dedicates himself to saving more than 1000 lives. The selfishness imprinted on his face is so complete and unyielding that the audience immediately understands the extent to which Schindler is without scruples.

The facial expression of Liam Neeson hardly ever changes until he notices the liquidation of the ghetto. The way Liam Neeson calmly navigates Schindler through the encounters with Amon Goeth, masterfully interpreted by Ralph Fiennes, resembles a benefactor hiding under the guise of a businessman. Liam Neeson understood that Oskar Schindler was not a superhuman, he was just a man who had the vision to see the right thing in times of suffocating darkness, and to do the right thing when the opportunity arises. One thing is for sure, Liam Neeson is a wonderful and talented actor that conveys originality and a lot of feeling to his every role.
