Liam Neeson received a new award this weekend. It seems that the famous actor has just received the Belfast Ambassador Award, for the first time. During a visit in New York City, the famous actor received this great honor.

Why Liam Neeson? “No-one has been a greater ambassador for the arts and culture of Belfast, highlighting its burgeoning theatre scene and its new film-making fame,” the new Lord Mayor of Belfast, Marin O Muilleoir, claimed. “Liam Neeson has also been a tireless ally of the peace process and a standard-bearer for the transformation Belfast has undergone,” he added.

Liam Neeson is one of the most famous and talented actors in the world. The star has recently turned 60 and it seems that he received another gift from the city of Belfast. And the Irish-born actor is more successful than ever with his latest roles.

Liam Neeson remains most famous for his roles in Schindler’s List, Before and After, Star Wars: Episode 1, Grands of New York, Batman Begins, the Dark Knight Rises and The Phantom Menance. There are numerous other movies in which Neeson has starred until today. He is set to release Run All Night, A Million Ways to Die in the West, as well as The Lego Movie, in 2014. Third Person, A Walk Among the Tombstones and Non-Stop are still in the filming process.
